Transfer Update: Boniface Returns to Germany as AC Milan Delay Decision

Nigeria international Victor Boniface is set to return to Germany today amid growing uncertainty over his proposed move to AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Milan had reportedly agreed a season-long loan deal with a buy option for the 24-year-old striker. However, the deal has stalled as the Serie A giants continue to deliberate following a series of medical examinations on the forward.

Boniface’s injury record is believed to be a major concern for Milan. The player has undergone two surgeries in his career and also struggled with recurring muscle problems last season, which limited his appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are now increasingly likely to pull out of the transfer, despite earlier optimism about the move.

The striker, who impressed with Leverkusen before his fitness troubles, is expected back in Germany while the Italian club finalizes its decision.
