Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Visiting Saint Lucia, Brazil

President Bola Tinubu is back in Abuja after completing visits to Saint Lucia and Brazil for official engagements.

The trip began on June 28, 2025, when he left Nigeria for Saint Lucia.

During his four-day visit, he met with the country’s Governor-General, Cyril Charles, and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.

He also spoke at a special joint session of the Saint Lucian Parliament.

While in Saint Lucia, President Tinubu signed a manpower support agreement aimed at sending Nigerian professionals—such as doctors, teachers, and engineers—to help strengthen skills and development in Saint Lucia and other countries in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

After the Saint Lucia stop, Tinubu headed to Brazil, where he attended the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro from July 5 to 7, representing Nigeria among other global leaders.
