Tension Flares as Laide Bakare, Eniola Badmus Clash at Movie Premiere

A dramatic scene unfolded at the premiere of Owambe Thieves, a film by Eniola Ajao, when Nollywood actresses Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus engaged in a fiery confrontation that drew widespread attention.

The event, held on Sunday evening at Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, took a surprising turn when a video surfaced online showing Bakare and Badmus in a heated verbal exchange.

In the viral clip, Bakare could be heard questioning Badmus’s mental state, to which Badmus responded with a piercing look before turning away. The argument intensified when a man, presumed to be Badmus’s bodyguard, attempted to deescalate the situation—only for Bakare to persist with her outburst.

Shortly after the altercation, Bakare took to Instagram, where she posted screenshots of a private chat between the two actresses. In the conversation, Badmus criticized Bakare for sharing an unflattering photo of her on social media, describing the action as “animalistic behavior.”

Bakare fired back, branding Badmus as unappreciative. She claimed she had once helped her colleague land one of her earliest film roles during a time when others in the industry overlooked her due to her size.

The confrontation has stirred discussions online, with many fans and observers reacting to the public fallout between the two Nollywood stars.
