Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that his billionaire father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, continues to support him financially, even as a globally recognized artist.
In a recent chat with Club Radio, the music executive shared a heartwarming moment when his dad gifted him $300,000 following a performance at the State Farm Arena.
Davido recalled that his father called to praise his performance and later sent him the large sum as a gesture of encouragement.
“Of course, I’m still his baby,” he said jokingly. “My dad still sends me cheques.”
Despite being financially independent and funding his music projects with earnings from his career, Davido acknowledged that his father’s support remains constant.
