The crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly may have crept into the new legislative arm of government as thugs alleged to be supporting the state governor attacked Mr Seidu Oshiomhole, younger brother of the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, in Benin. The thugs attacked Oshiomhole on Tuesday alongside 14 other lawmakers-elect in the state. The lawmakers were reportedly holding a meeting at an undisclosed location when they were attacked by thugs allegedly hired by the state government. Four Policemen Set Ablaze By Unknown Gun Men In Edo

Four Policemen attached to the Sabogidda-Ora Police Division have been killed and their corpse set ablaze by suspected armed robbers. The Nation hinted that the incident, occurred at about 8:30pm on Saturday at the Oke New-Avbiosi Road junction along Uzebba-Ifon Expressway in Owan West local government area according to an eye witness account.
