The Department of State Services (DSS), says it has arrested the former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the agency, Peter Afunanya, said the arrest was effected at the Pennsylvania Avenue Hotel, Utako, Abuja on September 30. The Department of State Services (DSS,) on Monday denied the purported arrest of a journalist, Chido Onumah, saying its operatives only interacted with him on a t-shirt he wore on Sunday evening. Onumah was reportedly arrested in Abuja by DSS operatives after he returned from Spain where he bagged a doctorate degree in communication studies. The Federal Government has perfected plans to re-arraign Sahara Reporters publisher and convener of #RevolutionNow protests, Omoyele Sowore, before another Federal High Court Judge in Abuja on Monday, Starnews has learnt. A Federal High Court has ordered the release of the convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore. Justice Taiwo Taiwo ordered his release after hearing arguments from both the prosecuting and defence counsels on Tuesday. He gave the ruling on the ground that there was no order still in court.
