The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday congratulated opposition governors whose elections were upheld by the Supreme Court. The apex court upheld the elections of opposition party governors Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Abba Yusuf (Kano), Caleb Muftwang (Plateau) and Bala Mohammed (Bauchi). Atiku, in a statement by his media office, described the apex court’s judgement as a win for democracy.
