Suspected Armed Men Kidnap Two Women in Kwara Community

Two women have been abducted by suspected armed men in the Edogi community of Kwara State.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, around 2:00 a.m., when the attackers stormed the residence of 50-year-old Alhaji Mustapha and whisked away his wives, identified as Shafa’u Mustapha and 35-year-old Fauzat Mustapha.

Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, disclosed the development in a post on X on Saturday, noting that the assailants gained access to the home before taking the women to an unknown location.

The Kwara State Police Command, Zone 8 Lokoja, confirmed the abduction, stating that a joint security team comprising soldiers, police operatives, vigilantes, and local hunters was immediately deployed to comb surrounding bushes in pursuit of the kidnappers.

Police authorities said investigations are underway, while efforts are being intensified to track down the perpetrators and ensure the safe rescue of the victims.
