Skit Maker Trinity Guy Released from Prison

Nigerian skit maker Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has been released on bail after being remanded in prison for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.

Trinity Guy was arrested by the police in early July in connection with a prank video that involved a minor. A Family Court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, ordered his remand to Agodi correctional facility.

The court also arraigned and remanded Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, who are the parents of the victim, on two-count charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation alongside the skit maker.

Trinity Guy’s release on bail was confirmed by fellow skit maker Abdugalfar Abiola, popularly known as Cute Abiola, who posted on his Instagram page that Trinity Guy is “finally free on Bail.”

He wrote, “@iamtrinityguy is finally free on Bail. I am wishing you all the best brother. May Almighty Allah keep guiding you to the right path, Amen. Welcome back! Welcome back! My guy don pray tire see his forehead.”

Yoruba movie maker Lizzy Anjorin also shared a picture of Trinity Guy with a caption celebrating and thanking God for his bail.

This newspaper learnt that efforts to reach the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Osifeso Adewale, for confirmation were unsuccessful as of press time.
