By: Bayero Ade

A Shari’a court in Rigasa, Kaduna State, has ruled that Abdulrahman Muhammad, a commercial motorcycle rider, must pay a monthly feeding allowance of N25,000 for his five children.

According to NAN, the court also granted custody of the children to Muhammad’s estranged wife, Zaituna Abdulkadir.

In her application, Zaituna requested the court to grant her full custody and compel her ex-husband to pay N75,000 monthly for the children’s feeding, school fees, health, and clothing. She emphasized that the children had been in her care for over a year and accused Muhammad of neglecting his paternal responsibilities.

After hearing the case, Judge Muhammad Adamu ordered that Muhammad pay N25,000 monthly for the children’s feeding allowance, noting that he had only offered N20,000 initially.
