Residents Decry Deplorable State of Roads in Ose Local Government

…As Olafeso Lambasts Aiyedatiwa’s Government for Poor Governance

The shocking state of roads in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State has emerged as a critical issue that demands urgent attention.

Commuters navigating these roads are at risk, with conditions that can only be described as a death trap.

The current administration, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has made little headway in terms of infrastructural development, particularly regarding road construction and rehabilitation.

Residents who spoke to Starnews NG expressed their disappointment, stating they have not felt the benefits of democracy since this administration took charge.

As the rainy season sets in, the situation becomes even more dire, severely hampering travel along the roads connecting Oba Akoko to Idoani and Imeri.

On Wednesday, Chief Eddy Olafeso PhD, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, voiced his frustration over the appalling state of the roads in Ose.

He lambasted the state government, contending that the current APC administration under Governor Aiyedatiwa has failed to improve the living conditions of ordinary citizens.

“It is truly pathetic that the present government has abandoned the people in the Akoko axis. The road conditions are horrendous. It’s shocking that Governor Aiyedatiwa isn’t taking any action to address the road infrastructure,” Olafeso stated.

“There is absolutely nothing this administration can point to as a developmental project for the people of the state. I wonder what they are campaigning for. These residents have been cut off from civilisation; it’s incredibly sad,” he added.

In light of these ongoing challenges, Olafeso assured that Ajayi would work to change the narrative in the state, promising an inclusive government where no individual, tribe, or region will be overlooked.

Recall that Starnews NG previously reported on the grievances of residents from the Ese Odo community, who lamented their alleged neglect by the state government, stressing that no developmental projects have been undertaken since the APC came to power.
