The Head African Operations, High-grade Professional Education Centre Ltd, Dr Josephine Egbuta has said that contrary to claims, the honorary doctorate award presented to popular Hausa musician, Dauda Kahutu, known as Rarara is not fake.
Speaking through her Media consultant in Kaduna on Tuesday September 23, 2025, Dr. Egbuta said that the European-American University appointed High-grade Professional Education Centre Ltd, as its International Partner Organisation education centre, since 2008.
According to her, her late husband, Professor Williams A. Egbuta was appointed as Honorary Coordinator for Africa for the European-American University.
She said she was shocked to hear that Dr Luke Okojie of Accolades Communications, who was working with her late husband as printer is now claiming to be recognized by foreign partner just last Sunday as pro vice chancellor without prior notice
“He was also a resource fellow. He printed the brochure of our 2016 convocation held in Togo.
Suddenly, I saw his company name as Ziglar. Apart from printing, his primary assignment was Accolade book published for important personalities,” she said.
She explained that as at 2016, Dr. Okojie was working for High-grade Professional Education Centre as a professional printer.
Dr. Josephine Egbuta said that the research fellow who organized the honorary doctorate award in Abuja last weekend, contacted her as usual with names of those conferred, including Rarara before going ahead.
She made available certificates and a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between High-grade Professional Education Centre Ltd and the European-American University, which she said, remain legally binding
She therefore, urged the public to disregard claims that the honorary awards were organized illegally, as no contrary correspondence from the university has been communicated to High-grade Professional Education Centre Ltd
