President Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointment to Cabinet

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.

The appointment, effective November 14, 2024, was announced in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to the statement, the decision aligns with the provisions of the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act 2008 (as amended).

Jami’u Abiola previously held the position of Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.

In his new capacity, President Tinubu has tasked Abiola with strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations by working closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leveraging his expertise to advance the nation’s diplomatic objectives.
