Police investigate deaths of two found naked in Kogi residence

The Kogi State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the mysterious deaths of a man and a woman discovered naked in a residential apartment in Ankpa Local Government Area.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, identified the deceased as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both believed to be from Ankpa.

The relationship between the two remains uncertain, but their unclothed bodies have raised questions about the circumstances of their demise.

According to reports, a local resident, Salisu Ibrahim from the Alo area of Ankpa, visited the police around noon to express concern that his tenant, Salifu, had not left his room that morning, which was unusual.

In an attempt to check on him, a relative reportedly entered the apartment through the ceiling and found both Salifu and Adama lying lifeless and unclothed inside the room.

Describing the case as sudden and unusual, the police spokesperson said an investigation has been launched to determine what led to their deaths.

Further updates will be provided as the inquiry continues.
