Police Extend Deadline For Tinted Glass Permit

The Nigeria Police Force has moved the deadline for enforcing the Tinted Glass Permit to August 12, 2025.

This adjustment came after several Nigerians raised concerns about the challenges they faced while using the digital application system.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, approved the extension to give citizens more time to process their permits without stress.

According to the police, the feedback received from the public has helped shape ongoing efforts to make the application process smoother and easier for everyone.

The delay in enforcement is also meant to allow for more updates to the system.

The police said they are working to improve both the online and offline application methods, making them faster and more reliable.

This includes better ways to confirm applications and remove unnecessary steps that cause delays.

Nigerians are advised to use the official website — www.possap.gov.ng — for all Tinted Glass Permit applications and renewals.

People are also urged to report any illegal fees or extortion during the process through the police hotline: 09169967000.

The police say they remain focused on improving service delivery and keeping the public safe while these changes are being made.
