Police Confirm Death of DPO in Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the death of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kajola Police Station, Odigbo Local Government Area, CSP Nimrod Anaka.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olushola, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

“I can confirm that the DPO, Anaka, has died, but only medical experts can ascertain the cause of death. His age and state of origin will be made known to the public later,” Olushola stated.

According to reports, CSP Anaka developed a sudden illness on Tuesday and passed away while being rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

His death has thrown officers and personnel attached to Kajola Police Station into mourning, with colleagues describing his passing as a great loss to the Command.

Sources said his remains have been deposited in a mortuary pending further arrangements.
