Peter Obi disowns LP manifesto in circulation

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says the manifesto of his party currently in circulation should be disregarded.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, said the LP’s manifesto is still under review.

He issued the clarification on Monday in a post on his official Twitter handle.

According to Obi, the manifesto in circulation is a draft copy which made its way to the public space.

Obi said he will personally release the LP manifesto to the public when it is ready.

“We have not formally released our Manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space. Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated,” the tweet reads.

2023 presidential election alongside Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former Anambra governor enjoys huge popularity on social media and boasts of a massive support base known as ‘Obidients’.

The APC and PDP standard bearers recently released their respective manifestos titled ‘Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria’ and ‘My Covenant with Nigerians’.
