PDP Releases Timetable for Elective National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled the timetable for its much-anticipated elective national convention, scheduled to hold on November 15 and 16, 2025.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature.

According to the timetable, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will begin on September 3 and close on September 22. Aspirants are expected to submit completed forms no later than September 26.

The screening of all aspirants has been fixed for September 30, with the publication of cleared aspirants slated for October 3. Appeals on screening decisions will be entertained on October 6.

The final list of aspirants is expected to be published on October 10, ahead of the convention.

The party noted that the official handover to newly elected officers will take place between December 1 and December 8.

The PDP’s elective national convention is a major event in the party’s calendar, as it will usher in a new set of national officers to lead the party ahead of future political engagements.
