PDP convention: Court adjourns ruling on Secondus till Friday

An Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Thursday reserved a ruling on an appeal filed by the suspended National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, urging the court to suspend the party’s national convention scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2021 in Abuja respectively.

The three-man panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani after presiding over the adoption of written addresses from the legal counsel of Uche Secondus, Tayo Oyetibo, SAN and 11 respondents, reserved ruling till Friday.

Counsel to the PDP (6th respondent), S.I. Ameh, had opposed the application of Secondus’ counsel and urged the court to strike it out, noting that the application sought the suspension of the convention without the hearing of the main appeal.
