Some Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Engr. Ogunwa Omoniyi Oboli under Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency yesterday appealed to all the aggrieved PDP members under the constituency to sheath their sword and work for the victory of the party in the forth coming 2019 general election following complaints that trail the just concluded PDP primary election in the constituency.

The PDP leaders who converged yesterday at Ode Aye in Ondo State under the aegis of Engr. Ogunwa Omoniyi Oboli Foundation, said the meeting was timely and necessary in the interest of the party to win the general election at all levels in the state.

They also resolved that the meeting should be held on continuous bases under the leadership of Oboli even as they officially unveiled “Engr. Omoniyi Ogunwa Oboli Foundation” in appreciation of his rare political roles especially in the Federal Constituency and the State as they wished other political leaders emulate his roles and commitment in building the party.

While responding in appreciation, Oboli said : “I thank all our leaders, and party members for their faith and trust in me. I urge you not to relent in your support for our party as we prepare for the general elections. The progress of our party and victory in any election is not negotiable. I have always be devoted and working for the progress and victory of PDP in any election and this, I will forever be devoted in doing, as much as I still remain in PDP.”

“This meeting is timely and necessary as we all know that a divided house cannot stand. I promised to play the expected active roles to see that PDP wins in the forthcoming elections. ’I therefore appeal to all our party members that we remain one family and united behind our great party, so that we can liberate Nigerians from the tyrannical administration of APC in Ondo State and Nigeria, at large,” he said.

Some aggrieved party members and followers who were also present at the meeting assured Oboli of their full cooperation and support in working with him to produce a victorious PDP in the 2019 general election.

In attendance were some local government party executives such as ward chairmen, youth leaders, ward secretaries and some women leaders from across the various wards in the two local governments under the Constituency.

Some notable party chieftains and Aspirants in the just concluded PDP primary election were also present at the meeting. Also at the meetings were some party members from the 23 wards under the Constituency.
