A Chief Magistrate Court in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State, has sentenced Mr. Nuhu Isah to six months in prison or a ₦20,000 fine for criminal intimidation of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials.
According Politics Nigeria, the conviction, delivered on January 7, 2025, followed an incident on January 5, 2025, where Isah, while recording an FRSC patrol team on duty, intimidated the officers and incited passengers to attack them. His actions disrupted the team’s lawful activities, leading to his arrest and prosecution.
In response to the ruling, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed called on Nigerians to support road safety efforts and avoid actions that undermine the work of officials.
He reiterated the agency’s unwavering commitment to ensuring safer roads across the country, emphasizing that threats or intimidation would not deter FRSC personnel from performing their duties.
