A chartered engineer and a World Bank Project Management Consultant, Engr Ogunwa Oboli, has pointed out six errors, among others committed by the company that handled the project of Ore flyover bridge while commending governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the initiative.
Oboli told Starnews NG on Wednesday that he noticed the errors while traveling to Lagos State on Friday, last week.
The errors listed below were noted, according to him:
1.0 On no reasons must a roundabout be located at a close range to the approach to an overhead bridge.
2.0 The width of the bridge is too narrow more so that it enters the main town (Ore).
3.0 The change over to other routes (Benin, Lagos and Ondo are too sharp as these can cause accidents as may be witnessed in the nearest future, but God forbid.
4.0 The access road from the adjoining streets were blocked which is very wrong in case of eventualities…
5.0 The abutment dam will soon wear off….
6.0 The runoff from the bridge will form an artificial dam down the bridge later. Etc.
Starnews reports that Engr Oboli, (MNSE, COREN, MNES,FCA, and FCITN), however, said that the initiative for the construction of the bridge was a good development which he said was long overdue, while adding that, there are rooms for future expansion and corrections.
