A fatal accident occurred on Monday along the Trade Fair–Agbara road at Iyana Era Bus Stop in Lagos State, claiming the life of one man and injuring two others. The crash involved a commercial blue Mack truck with registration number AKD 579 XM and a private silver Lexus car with registration number LSR 545 JN.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), five adult males were involved in the accident. The FRSC Public Education Officer for Lagos Sector Command, Elizabeth Jayeola, said the cause of the crash was traced to excessive speed and loss of control by one of the vehicles.

Emergency responders from the FRSC arrived at the scene within four minutes and quickly took action. The injured victims were rushed to Alimosho General Hospital for treatment, while the body of the deceased, who remained trapped inside the Lexus car, was moved to the Ijanikin Police Station along with the vehicle.

The FRSC stated that both vehicles were cleared off the road to ease traffic congestion and prevent further incidents. The Mack truck was also removed by a tow truck to restore the free flow of vehicles in the area.

The Lagos Sector Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, expressed sympathy to the family of the deceased and wished the injured a quick recovery. He also advised motorists to always drive with caution and avoid speeding to ensure road safety.

He assured the public of the FRSC’s continuous efforts in managing road traffic and preventing avoidable crashes across the state.
