The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is losing too many feathers ahead of the October 10, 2020, governorship election in Ondo State as many political gladiators in the party are leaving for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

Within a week, the PDP in Ondo State has lost many political strikers to the camp of Agboola Ajayi, the candidate of the ZLP and the symbol of the third force in Ondo State.

Starnews Nigeria had reported that Banji Okunomo, one of the governorship aspirants of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party on September 7, 2020, dumped the PDP with over 15,000 followers to the ZLP.

Less down 48 hours of Okunomo’s exit, a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Mr Remi Olatubora, resigned his membership from the opposition PDP and joined the ruling APC in the state.

Just yesterday, another PDP Stalwart from Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Engr. Niyi Ogunwa Oboli (FCA), resigned his membership of the PDP to join the ZLP.

Oboli, a former Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Government on Infrastructure and former Managing Director of Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC will today join the ZLP with all his followers in grand style at Ode-Aye, his country home in Ondo State.

Starnews Nigeria reports that the chartered engineer and a World Bank Project Management Consultant, Oboli, would be greatly missed by the PDP especially for his financial contributions and influence to the successes of the PDP during elections in his local government.
