Ondo Monarchs urge FG to develop practical solution to end insecurity

Traditional rulers under the auspices of 130 Crowned Obas in Ondo State have commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for tackling insecurity in the State.

The Monarchs said they were delighted with Gov. Akeredolu for mustering the courage to outrightly repress the unrelenting attacks of bandits in the Sunshine State.

In a statement on Thursday by the Olumoru of Imoru, Oba. Rotimi Obamuwagun, called on the Federal Government to curb the growing insecurity in the country.

The statement read partly, “the traditional rulers maintained that they are aware of all the efforts of the Akeredolu led administration to protect the people and urged everyone to continue to support the Governor and his government”

“The Obas urged the people to take security matter as an urgent issue, be their brothers’ keepers as well as pay attention to necessary security tips”

“The Kabiyesis equally called on the Federal Government to do everything possible to curb the spate of insecurity in the country”

“On Politics, the traditional rulers urged the Politicians to always have the fear of God by playing the game according to the rules”

“They admonished the political class to evolve a rancour free electioneering by placing premium on issues based campaign devoid of mudslinging and calumny”

“The Kabiyesis are of the view that as it is being done by the Ondo State Government, priority should be placed on infrastructural development across the Federation”

“They equally canvassed the reduction in the unemployment level in the country as a way of empowering the teeming youths in the country”

“While advocating conducive environment for journalism practice in the country, the Royal fathers equally advised media practitioners to ply their trade in line with the law of the land and to be patriotic in carrying out their Constitutional role”
