The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Education in Ondo State, Professor Igbekele Amos Ajibefun, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, and well-wishers following his inauguration into the State Executive Council on July 14, 2025.
In a formal message personally signed and made available to newsmen, the former Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, thanked the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okitipupa Local Government Area for their unflinching support, describing it as the foundation of his political journey and the strength of the party in the area.
“With a heart full of gratitude and deep humility, I extend my profound appreciation to our diligent Excos, both serving and former, whose sacrifices and unwavering belief in our shared vision have remained inspiring,” Prof. Ajibefun stated.
The Commissioner also commended APC members and loyalists who travelled from various parts of the state and beyond to attend his swearing-in ceremony held in Akure, noting that their presence was not only a personal honour to him but also a tribute to the good people of Ondo State.
He particularly acknowledged the show of solidarity from party members in all the wards under Okitipupa LGA, namely:

Describing his appointment as a collective mandate and call to duty, Prof. Ajibefun pledged to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, integrity and renewed vigour. He said he was determined to reposition the education sector in the state for excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness.
“This appointment is not mine alone—it is for all of us,” he declared. “I promise to work towards an educational system that will be a reference point for innovation, quality, and transformation.”
He concluded his appreciation message by thanking colleagues, friends, and other well-wishers whose words of encouragement and goodwill, he noted, continue to spur his passion for public service.
