Ondo 2024: Farmers hail Aiyedatiwa for revitalizing abandoned farm settlements

Ondo State farmers residing in the government reserves area of the state have commended the government of Ondo State under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for engaging farmers residing in these areas.

The farmers expressed their appreciation for the government’s recent attention to abandoned farm settlements, which are now receiving government support.

In a joint communique issued on Sunday by some of the farmers’ leaders, Alh. Abdukabir Adinoyi and Mr. Akingbade Jayeola Francis, they expressed their gratitude to the Governor for prioritising farming as an essential occupation in the state.

The farmers reiterated their unalloyed support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s aspiration in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

They also unanimously resolved to mobilise their members across the eighteen local government areas of the state to canvass and vote for the All Progressives Congress in the November 16th election.

The group also described the Governor’s choice of Global Olabod Resources Limited as a step in the right direction, saying, “Global Olabod Resources Limited is familiar with the activities of farmers, and we are elated that the Governor assigned the company to oversee the affairs of farmers in the reserves.”

“Jugbere Farm Settlement is a case study of many of the abandoned reserves that the new government consultant is engaging with the farmers, giving them hope of an inclusive government,” the group added.

The group urged all citizens and residents of Ondo State to mobilise and vote for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming state election.
