Mr. Oluwagbenga Ajongbolo popularly known as Arakunrin Ajos on social media and Mr Wande Owati have again rejected Eyitayo Jegede’s appointment as members of Ondo State campaign committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This is coming barely two hours the National Chairman, Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security Affairs (CONYSA), Ade Mario Emmanuel, rejected Jegede’s appointment as a member of Ondo State campaign committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Starnews Nigeria reports that Jegede, the candidate of the PDP had set up the Ondo State campaign committee ahead of the state governorship election slated for October 10, 2020, in his campaign office, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

While rejecting his appointment, Mr. Oluwagbenga wrote: ”My attention has been drawn to the Eyitayo Jegede State Campaign Directorate/Council/Committee list just released wherein my name featured as a member of the Youth Membership Committee.”

”It is humbling that a great party, the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), found me worthy of working for the election of the candidate, Eyitayo Jegede SAN. I’m also humbled that, out of tens of thousands of qualified and competent young minds in the state, I was nominated and selected to work on the youth mobilization committee.”

”I, however, decline this offer to be on the campaign list. I’m not a member of any political party, as I run and work with an organization that is apolitical.”

I wish the party and its candidate well in the coming gubernatorial polls.”

On his part, Owati wrote: ”I read it this evening on Facebook and several WhatsApp groups that my name is on the Campaign list of the PDP, under the Committee on Youth Mobilisation of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP ) for the October 10 2020 Governorship Election in Ondo State.”

”I was astonished and shocked seeing my name on the list of PDP campaign committee list, it’s obviously conspicuous and palpable to the PDP and the great people of Ondo State that my principal Hon Banji Okunomo and his political associates in which I’m one of them, have left the PDP on penultimate Wednesday.”

”I hereby reject my nomination as member of the Youth Committee base on the fact that I have followed my principal Hon Banji Ben Okunomo to the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).”

”We have to recognise that there cannot be relationships unless there is commitment, unless there is loyalty, unless there is love, patience, persistence.”

”As you all know that I’m the Personal Assistant to my principal, I wish to reiterate my commitment to his ideologies and principles, my loyalty to his leadership remains undaunted, unalloyed and unadulterated.”
