Former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan has joined the league of well-wishers to congratulate Mr. Biodun Oyebanji on his victory as the fift democratically elected governor of Ekiti State.

Olabimtan, who is the current Chairman of SUBEB in Ondo State, said these in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Akure at the weeken

He said Oyebanji’s  victory at the poll did not come to him as a surprise, given the astonishing performance of the ongoing administration in all  sectors of the stat

While urging the newly elected governor to be magnanimous in victory, he charged him to upscale the existing record by his principal by the time he assumes office in October to ensure the mill of the state grinds seamlessly

According to him, now that the election is over, Oyebanji is expected to extend an olive branch to not only  those who contested against him, but also those who did not support his aspiration

The Ondo State SUBEB boss stated that Ekiti State is blessed with an array of professionals in all the spheres of life that he could assemble to implement his polices and programmes

The statement reads in parts, “I use this opportunity to congratulate my good brother and friend, Abiodun  Oyebanji on his election as the new governor of Ekiti State. The victory is well-deserved and a testimony of your acceptability and the belief in your ability to continue the various legacy projects of the present administration. The overwhelming support you garnered from every spectrum of the society  is also  an affirmation of a staunch belief  in your capacity and capability to deliver on your manifesto. Do nothing to shake this belief

“I also urge you to be magnanimous in victory by extending an olive branch to all other contestants whether within the party or outside of it and even to those who do not believe in you. Now, by the special grace of God and the support of the people, you are a governor in waiting; see and treat everybody with dignity, respect and sense of belonging. It is my prayer that God will be the pilot of your administration as you assume the mantle of leadership in Ekiti State, come October, this year
