Okunomo Praises Aiyedatiwa Ahead of Okitipupa/Igbokoda Road Dualisation Flag-Off

Hon. Banji B. Okunomo has commended Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his bold initiative to dualize the Okitipupa–Igbokoda Road, set to be officially flagged off on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Describing the project as a historic milestone, Okunomo said the dualization of the road—which runs from Ode-Aye Junction in Okitipupa through Hospital Road to Igbokoda—has been long overdue and will significantly enhance infrastructure development in Ondo State’s Southern Senatorial District.

He emphasized that beyond the immediate benefits to the local communities, the project holds statewide and national importance as it improves access to key oil-producing areas, with the potential to boost economic activities and improve livelihoods.

Okunomo also praised the governor’s administration for its fiscal discipline and transparency, which he said have been critical to enabling the execution of multiple development projects within a short timeframe.

“This dualization is not just a road project; it is an investment in the future of the Southern Senatorial District and Ondo State as a whole,” Okunomo stated.

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to delivering purposeful governance has earned widespread recognition, and this infrastructure upgrade is expected to further catalyze economic growth across the region.
