Chijioke Ihunwo, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, has appointed another 100 Special Assistants (SAs), further expanding his team.

According to Peoples Gazette, in a statement released on Saturday, Ihunwo congratulated the newly appointed SAs, stating their role would help him fulfill his vision for the local community.

“I have appointed 100 additional individuals as special assistants to assist in achieving my plans for the people of Obio/Akpor. Their appointment is effective immediately,” Ihunwo said.

This move follows Ihunwo’s announcement on January 8, 2024, when he appointed 130 SAs, bringing the total number of his special assistants to 230.

It is also important to note that before the October 5, 2024, local government election, Ihunwo, in his role as caretaker chairman, had appointed 100 SAs to his administration.
