The Northern Nigeria Youths Union has pledged to deliver over two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Chairman of the group, Abubakar Aliyu, gave the assurance on Wednesday after a strategic meeting held in Jos, Plateau State. He stated that the decision was inspired by the president’s developmental strides, particularly in the North.
Aliyu highlighted the administration’s efforts, including the ongoing construction of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway, as proof of President Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure growth. He also noted a decline in the prices of goods and fuel as a result of the government’s recent policies.
“We came together as a union of young patriots from across the North—Christians and Muslims alike—with a shared determination to support the president in 2027,” Aliyu said.
He clarified that the group is not being sponsored by any political or financial interest but is driven by a sense of national duty. According to him, the group has more than 65,000 registered members across the 19 northern states, and their goal is to convince more people to vote in Tinubu’s favor.
“With our current membership strength and the work we’re doing to mobilize more voters, we’re confident that we can deliver upwards of two million votes when the time comes,” he stated.
Aliyu expressed optimism that their grassroots efforts would significantly influence the outcome of the 2027 election in Tinubu’s favor.
