Nigerian Killed by Pack of Starving Dogs in Italy

A Nigerian woman, 27-year-old Patricia Masithela, was attacked and killed by a pack of hungry dogs in Latina, Italy, on Monday night.

Patricia, who had recently moved to the Lazio region, went to visit a male friend at his abandoned villa, unaware that he was not home.

During the visit, she was mauled by the dogs.

Her screams alerted nearby neighbours, and when they arrived, they found her severely injured and covered in blood.

Two of the dogs were shot by police to allow paramedics to reach Patricia, but the rest of the pack fled.

Despite efforts to save her, she died from her injuries at the Santa Maria Goretti Hospital.

Patricia leaves behind a young daughter and has caused heartbreak among her family and friends, Vanguard reports.

Authorities are investigating how the dogs, reportedly starving, ended up in the area.
