Nedu Leaves Honest Bunch Podcast After Controversy

Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu Wazobia, has stepped down from The Honest Bunch podcast.

His decision comes after a heated controversy involving comedian Deeone and social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The issue began when Deeone alleged on the podcast that VDM was attracted to men.

In response, VDM accused Nedu of persistently inviting him to the show since 2024, even offering to buy him a car.

He also claimed that Nedu’s repeated invitations led to Deeone’s remarks.

VDM, through his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, warned Nedu against further contact, threatening to reveal alleged dealings involving female celebrities if the matter continued.

Following the backlash, Nedu announced his resignation on Instagram, saying the accusations had become too much to handle.

He stated that hosting the podcast had been a great experience, but the scrutiny and negative attention made it difficult to continue.

He explained that stepping away was necessary for his peace of mind, his family, and the integrity of the podcast.

Nedu expressed hope that his decision would put an end to the controversy and allow the show to move forward.

He wished the podcast success and thanked supporters, hinting at future projects that align with his passion for meaningful conversations.
