Nadal retires from tennis

Rafael Nadal has announced his retirement from tennis at the age of 38. The record 14-time French Open winner and 22-time Grand Slam winner announced his retirement on his Instagram page on Thursday.

“The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two years especially… it is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make. But, in life, everything has a beginning and an end.”
