Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto has also resigned his membership from the Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and also resigned his appointment from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

His defection came few hours that senator Bukola Saraki alongside the kwara state governor left the ruling APC for PDP.

Ibeto has officially joined the PDP.
