Man On The Run After Stabbing Ex Girlfriend To Death In Lagos

On the night of July 10, 2024, Opeyemi, a young woman residing in Lagos, was tragically stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend, Fatai Mogaji, at Bells Bar in Itamaga, Elepe, Ikorodu.

The incident occurred after an altercation between the two escalated into violence.

Opeyemi had gone out clubbing and encountered Mogaji at the bar.

They decided to spend time together, but by around 5 a.m., a heated argument led to Mogaji stabbing Opeyemi multiple times.

She sustained 22 stab wounds, including severe injuries to her eyes and other parts of her body.

The landlord, upon discovering the scene, immediately alerted the police.

Authorities have launched an investigation, and Mogaji is currently on the run.

He is believed to have fled to Elepe, Ikorodu, where he resides.

The victim’s family is devastated by the loss.

Opeyemi’s sister, who discovered her body, described the horrific scene where Opeyemi was found wrapped in a bed sheet and placed in the kitchen.

Mogaji had locked the door, seemingly planning to return and clean up the scene.

The police have urged anyone with information about Mogaji’s whereabouts to come forward. He is considered dangerous.

Opeyemi’s family is calling for justice and seeking assistance from the public to ensure that Mogaji is apprehended and held accountable for his actions.
