Man detained in Ondo over alleged assassin claim, threats against Water Industry

Over the weekend, Ondo State Police Command detained a middle-aged man who claimed to be an assassin with 500 killings to his name.

The suspect, identified as Adesina Adetokunbo, was arrested following reports of threats made against owners of pure water businesses in the state.

According to Abayomi Oladipupo, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Adetokunbo allegedly contacted her via phone, alleging that three of her employees had hired him to assassinate her and demanded payment to spare her life.”

“On April 18, 2024, at approximately 7:00 m, a report was filed with the police regarding threats to the life of an individual and extortion.

“The complainant recounted receiving a disturbing call from an unfamiliar number, where the caller identified himself as an assassin.

“The caller affirmed that he had killed over 500 people and that three of her staff had paid him to assassinate her. He demanded that a certain amount be paid to an account or the complainant would be executed.
