Liverpool football has reached an agreement to appoint Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.

The club has reportedly reached a verbal agreement in principle with Sporting Lisbon manager, Rúben Amorim to replace Klopp at the end of the season.

According to Sky Germany reports, the 39-year-old is said to have discussed a three-year contract to become Klopp’s successor.

The deal, according to the report, is still to be finalised between the two clubs.

However, sources in Liverpool have refuted the story.

Amorim has an exit clause for this summer in his contract with Sporting and was also on Bayern Munich’s managerial shortlist.

It was also reported last week that Amorim was a leading candidate as Liverpool search for their next head coach.

Recall that Jurgen Klopp had announced his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.
