-Six of the 10 opening matches of LaLiga 2024/25 have ended in draws, equalling the highest number of draws on an opening day in the history of the competition (six also in 1998/99).
-Southampton have signed Mateus Fernandes from Sporting for €15M + €5M. Five-year contract.
-PSG have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Manuel Ugarte on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. There is now growing optimism that an agreement will be reached.
-Ipswich Town have agreed for an obligation to buy for Armando Broja – Close to £30m fee and to be activated if Ipswich avoid relegation.
-Brighton have made significant progress with Fenerbahçe in their negotiations for the transfer of Ferdi Kadıoğlu. Personal terms already agreed.
-Abdou Kamara has joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan from Dortmund.

-Chelsea is set to complete the signing of João Félix from Atletico Madrid for around £44.5 million, with no add-ons. There is a sell-on clause for Atletico.
The medical is complete and he will sign a 6-year contract at Chelsea with an option for another year.
The 24-year-old Portugal international has agreed to fit within Chelsea’s wage structure and performance bonuses.
-Chelsea currently have a total of 191 years of player contracts, according to Transfermarkt data.
Chelsea have responded, saying: “Chelsea are proud of the fact that the 42 players they have in their first-team pool have a total of 191 years remaining on their contracts.
“Chelsea’s new owners have pursued a policy of signing players on long-term contracts with relatively low wages by Premier League standards.
“The average base wage of the players Chelsea have signed in the past two years is believed to be below the Premier League average of £72,000 a week.
“Chelsea see players on long-term deals with average base wages of between £60,000 to £70,000 a week as an asset and not as a liability.”
-Nottingham Forest defender Omar Richards has joined Portuguese side Rio Ave on a season-long loan.
