Lady found dead in hotel after checking in with man friend in Ondo

A yet-to-be-identified young lady has been found dead in a popular hotel in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, shortly after checking in with a male companion.

The incident, which has thrown the community into shock, occurred on Tuesday and was discovered when hotel staff entered the room after repeated knocks went unanswered.

The hotel, located along the busy Ore–Okitipupa Road, became a scene of panic after workers found the woman lying lifeless on the bed. There were no visible signs of violence on her body.

A source told Newsmen that the deceased had checked into the hotel with a man identified as Sodiq Ganiyu, reportedly to spend the night.
“They came in together earlier in the day, but when the staff gained access to the room later, the lady was found unresponsive,” the source said.

Ganiyu was said to have fled the hotel immediately after the discovery, leaving no trace behind.

A security source confirmed that the lady’s body has been deposited at the Ore morgue. Preliminary checks revealed no external injuries, but an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the actual cause of death.

Police authorities in the area are said to be intensifying efforts to track down the fleeing suspect as investigations continue.
