Karu Market in Abuja Engulfed in Fire

Karu Market, in the suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was engulfed by fire on Thursday.

Abiola Adebayo, the Acting Director of FCT Fire Service confirmed the incident.

According to him, firefighters have been deployed to the scene.

It was gathered the fire incident which started at around 8 pm destroyed several properties in the market.

The cause of the fire and other details about the incident could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The incident comes barely 24 hours after fire engulfed a section of the Dangote Refinery on Wednesday.
