Sir Karigidi C.A , a retired principal and the Lay president of Methodist church of Nigeria, Igbobini Diocese under Irele Local Government of Ondo State, has been killed, Starnews can report.
Sir Karigidi was murdered in cold blood around 3:00 am on Monday morning at his residence in Ode-Irele, Starnews has learnt.
It was not clear if he was killed by assassins or armed robbers as at press time.
The case has been reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters at Ode Irele, Ondo State.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) however declined comment on the incident. He referred our correspondent who spoke with him on phone to the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) in Ondo State.
On inquiry, the PPRO of Ondo State confirmed the incident and said that it was a case of assassination as nothing was taken from the deceased. He told Starnews (starnews.com.ng) that the deceased was shot dead through the window.
He however said that the Police has commenced investigation into the matters, assuring that the culprits would be brought to book.
