JUST IN: Gunmen kill Pastor, woman studying for exams in Taraba

A pastor and a woman studying for her exams were tragically killed by unidentified gunmen in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, on Friday night, December 6.

The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, Superintendent Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident. He explained that the woman was in her room preparing for an upcoming examination when she was shot in the stomach by the assailants.

The gunmen also targeted a pastor during the attack. Abdullahi noted that no one was abducted, and the attackers did not steal money or valuables, leaving the motive for the killings unclear.

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made so far. Police authorities have assured the public that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The shocking attack has left the local community in mourning, as calls for improved security measures grow louder.
