JUST IN: Elephant Kills Farmer in Ogun Community

A farmer in the Imobi area of Ijebu East Local Government, Ogun State, has reportedly been killed by an elephant believed to have strayed from a government-protected forest.

The shocking event, which happened on Tuesday, has caused anxiety among residents, who now fear possible threats from wild animals in the region.

Confirming the development, the Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Taiwo Oludotun, said:
“Yes, we are aware and we are already on our way to the community.”

While the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, government officials are said to be heading to the affected area to assess the situation and ensure the safety of locals.
