JUST IN: Edo Governor-Elect Okpebholo Makes First Appointment

Edo State’s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has made his first appointment, Fred Itua, who will serve as the Chief Press Secretary.

The appointment was announced just a day before Okpebholo is set to assume office on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Itua will begin his role immediately upon Okpebholo’s swearing-in.

Fred Itua is a well-respected journalist and previously worked as the Assistant Political Editor for The Sun newspaper.

Okpebholo is taking over from the outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki.
