JUST IN: ASUU declares indefinite strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the Bayelsa State-owned Niger Delta University (NDU) has announced an indefinite strike, citing the state government’s alleged failure to fulfill agreements previously reached with the union.

The decision was made public on Tuesday after a meeting held at the union’s secretariat in Amassoma.

The strike is expected to disrupt academic activities at NDU, with further details about the union’s grievances and the strike’s impact anticipated in the coming days.
