Using heavy firearms, the assailants fired shots to intimidate the populace, leading to chaos as workers fled for safety and the secretariat’s windows and doors were damaged.

The Eleda of Eda-Oniyo, Oba Awodipo Awolola, revealed that the armed group targeted individuals with charms in their farms, resulting in one person being hospitalized. This incident has instilled fear and trauma within the community.

Awolola called upon the state government to mediate and resolve the dispute between Ekiti and Kwara residents to prevent further escalation and the loss of innocent lives.

Also, he urged security agencies to deploy more personnel in the area to safeguard residents from future attacks.
