The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will soon release the date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up test.
This decision affects candidates who were unable to take the earlier examination due to failed biometric verification and those who registered at JAMB’s eight foreign centres. It will also include others who missed the exam for reasons deemed not acceptable but were later forgiven by the board.
JAMB made this known through its weekly bulletin on Monday. While a specific date was not mentioned, the board confirmed that the announcement will be made before the end of June.
Earlier in the year, JAMB had already conducted a rescheduled exam for affected candidates in Lagos and parts of the South East, following technical issues at some centres.
Candidates have been warned to ignore unofficial dates circulating online. The board said only its official communication channels should be trusted for updates on the mop-up exam.
