Ilutitun celebrates Morubodo day with dignitaries from all walks of life

It was a gathering of creme-de-la-creme at this year’s edition of Morubodo day in Ilutitun town of Okitipupa Local Government Area in Ondo State.

The gathering had in attendance well-wishers, sons and daughters of the Ilutitun kingdom, dignitaries from all walks of life to celebrate with a cerebral King, an Icon of development and an influencer per excellent, His Royal Highness, Oba Earnest Adeoye Idepefo, the Majuwa of Morubodo Kingdom and the people of Ilutitun home and abroad.

At the occasion, the chairman of Morubodo Development Council(MDC), Sir Sehinde Akinbuwa congratulated Oba Majuwa and all sons and daughters of Ilutitun on the celebration of the 22nd edition of Morubodo day.

He used the occasion to reel out part of the mandate of MDC which includes provision, supervision, support, logistics and community development strategy to the Morubodo Planning Committee saddled with the responsibility of organizing the yearly Morubodo day celebration.

While appreciating all the members of the Morubodo Development Council for their support so far, he especially gave kudos to Pastor Charles Olusegun Aiyerin, the secretary of the MDC for his sterling effort and commitment. He revealed that the council has the plan to increase the membership of the group from 33 to 100 before the next Morubodo day celebration.

In his address, the chairman of the Morubodo day Planning Committee, Mr Jossy Adetula thanked all the well-wishers for their support towards the development of the community and equally outlined the various successes recorded by the committee which include the execution of projects and sponsorship of primary health care centre at the extension of UNIMED’s rural practice centre in Ilutitun.

The Chairman of the day, Dr Prince Tade Olowogboye congratulated the kabiyesi and all the children of Ilutitun Community. He highlighted the need for quality education at the grassroots while advising parents to invest in the sound education of their wards to secure a brighter future for them.

Other dignitaries who took a turn to address the gathering and made wholesome donations include the Araba of Ikaleland and Chairman of Fortune University, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, Prince Jimi Odimayo, Hon. Ikengboju Gboluga, member representing Okitipupa Irele Federal Constituency and Hon. Chris Ayebusuwa, the House of Assembly candidate of the ruling APC in Okitipupa State Constituency II.

Starnews Nigeria reports that this year’s event had other activities which include intercessory prayers where Prophet Damilola Adekanle led other anointed men of God to pray for the land. The community similarly held Inter schools quiz competitions, environmental sanitation and gala night.
